Why Agricultural becoming Most demanding area for Data Science Application?

In my previous article you get idea about the Data Science domain and different processes carried out. Today I am going to introduce you all about data science application in Indian Agriculture field.

Data science can be applied in any kind of Business, Software company, Educational institutes, Management Organization, Mechanical/Automobile industries, Heath-Care & Medical field and so on, but toda52wd2d3wy I am going to discuss one interesting area where Data science can be applied i.e. Indian Agriculture field.

This article helps you to think about this new upcoming area where most of research is going on. These areas also becoming most valuable domain to find the solutions for various problems are coming in a picture.

As all are aware that in our country, Agriculture is the primary source of livelihood for more than 55% of India’s population. Every year Central Government plan various schemes for farmers to motivate them for farming and fulfill their daily need. Still most of farmers not able to get that much return’s from their farms buy selling the crops in the market. There are several reasons behind this major issue. 

Data collection for process:

This problem can be solved by using emerging technologies like Big data, Cloud computing, IoT and Machine learning and Python programming language.

We can collect information from satellite about the images of farms will be database for getting information about crops.

Weather forecasting institute can provide the detail data about the wind speed, rain, humidity and other environmental conditions.

Agriculture field implementation:

To make the use of this Internet-of-Things in an agricultural field, we need some devices and installation process as shown in figure.

Step 1: Buy wireless sensors as per parameters which need to measure such as soil moisture, water level, temperature etc. and spread them in farm with proper distance.

Step 2: These sensors measures the above said parameters and transmit real time data to the controlling center, where we putted a computer which process this information and create a database.

Step 3: Remote controlling center also connected to internet for accessing the information from satellite, weather broadcasting centers for data analysis and store it in database.

Step 4: As per the condition of soil, environment, water availability in farm and the market value for the crop these parameters are considered for taking decision which crop should be taken in that agriculture field.


Data Science Application in farm

Data science application will helpful to all farmers to provide the guidelines about which crop the seed in farm to get more profit in future by avoiding losses from natural disaster conditions.

Conclusion:

Now a days use of advanced technologies like AI, GPS, ML, flying drones etc. can be used to enhance the production of crops and get the best value in the market with standard quality.
